Investors' Summit 2012 "Is Estonia Ready To Open Its Borders?" - November 1, 2012
Investors Summit "The Future of the Estonian Labor Market: Is Estonia Ready to Open Its Borders?" took place on Thursday, 1 November 2012 at the Swissotel Tallinn. For the third consecutive year, eight foreign Chambers of Commerce in Estonia joined their forces for this event, and it was a great success with 90 people registered. This year, the focus was on Estonia's labour market and the event comprised of three parts. First, we had presentations from the policy maker's side by Ken-Marti Vaher, Minister of the Interior; Ahti Kuningas from Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications and Tõnis Arro from Estonian Development Fund. This was followed with presentations from the businessmaker's side by Tiit Paananen from Skype and Edmund Smolarek from Balti Spoon. The last presentation was from the educational side by Tiit Land from Tallinn University.
After the thought-provoking presentations, we had a panel session with three more people presented: Ramil Pärdi from Pan-Baltic Law Firm TRINITI, Liis Valk from Police and Border Guard Board and Yrjo Ojasaar from Service Industry Association. This was also the chance for all of the guests to ask questions and discuss the future of the Estonian labour market.
