Christmas meeting of Foreign Investors' Board
Description
Christmas meeting of Foreign Investors’ Board
December 12th from 15.00 to 18.00
Three Sisters Hotel, Tallinn.
Danish-Estonian Chamber of Commerce is a member of the Foreign Investors' Board (FIB) as well as Foreign Investors' Council in Estonia. The FIB is an unofficial meeting forum organized by the Estonian Investment Agency. The board meets a few times per year to give out as well as discuss isses related to the Estonian state and the foreign investments to Estonia.
As you might know, Estonian Government has recently approved the Estonia’s Business Growth Strategy for 2014-2020. We have also another important strategy, “Estonia 2020 competitiveness strategy”, that is aimed at achieving the “Europe 2020” objectives. They both shape our goals and entrepreneurship support policies for the coming years. This time FIB hosts guests from the Government Office and Ministry of Economic Affairs to introduce the board main ideas of these strategies. This is a good opportunity to hear how Estonian government sees the future of Estonia – what is the role of entrepreneurs, foreign businesses, and which sectors are more attractive. All participants have chance to ask questions and give their opinion.
The presentations and discussion is followed by the Christmas dinner.
Agenda:
14.45 Registration and coffee
15.00 Welcome speech from Estonian Investment Agency
15.15 Presentation by Mr Oliver Väärtnõu, the Head of Strategy Bureau of the Government Office – “Estonia 2020 – improving competitiveness”
