International Chambers of Commerce's Football Tournament 2012, powered by Sampo Pank

Once again it is time to compete in probably the most well-known and popular sports in the world - football. The chambers are lined up to compete for this year's cup that is powered by Sampo Pank. Everyone's welcome to cheer, support and participate at the event!

 

NB All DECC members interested to be part of the team, please contact our team's captain of the year 2012, Marius Damgaard mariusdamgaard@hotmail.com for further information on the tournament and the training games. Marius has been taking active part in DECC's sports activities since 2010 when we started the tradition of football tournaments amongst chambers of commerces, but also football challenge between the Danish and Swedish chamber members.

Important information to know:

- free of charge catering is offered to all team players at the tournament;

- the audience has a possibility to buy food at the stadium;

- it is not allowed to smoke or drink alcohol at the stadium;

- discounted entrance is available to everyone who wishes to visit the KUMU art museum, or children's musem and playground Miia Milla Manda;

- after party at Baieri kelder, a German beer-restaurant is expecting you from 18:00-20:00 with special offers on beer. Find out more on Baieri kelder.

 

History of the event:

The tournament's tradition was initiated by the DECC in 2010, when the tournament took place for the first time. Our long-term Business Plus chamber member, Sampo Pank has been supporting the event from the very first competition. We have annually had eight teams taking part of the tournament: American, British, Danish, Finnish, German, Spanish, Swedish and the Junior Chamber International.

* DECC team's results have been:

2010 - semi-finals

2011 - 2nd position, silver medal

2012 - 7th position
